Parade of Sail

Wednesday, October 12, 2011, at 1700 Hours (5 PM) in Baltimore

The schooners racing in this year's Great Chesapeake Bay Schooner Race will show off during the Parade of Sail! Bring the kids to watch this annual event from anywhere on the waterfront from Canton around to Key Highway. Don't forget your camera!2007 Parade of Sail

This year, for the first time, we are excited to host children from the Believe in Tomorrow House at St. Casimir and their families aboard some of the schooners in the parade!

The parade line-up will be in order of class * (starting with class AA, followed by A, B and C) with the order of the first few boats within each class determined by 2010 race results. This year, the AA fleet will be led by Lady Maryland; Adventurer (56) will head up the A fleet; Sally B will lead the B fleet; and the C fleet will be led by Quintessence.

*The schooners are divided into classes based on their size and other characteristics used for handicapping purposes.

Note: The parade order is subject to change.
